Jamshedpur, Feb 15: XLRI’s ExPGDM Batch of 2021-22 held its maiden consulting conclave Fulcrum – on Tuesday.
The event brought together the leading strategists, entrepreneurs, thought leaders who are the pioneers of change in the real business world.
The one-day event was graced by many prominent speakers including Sanjay Dawar – managing director of the Global Consulting Network at Accenture, Prakhar Tripathi – director of Deloitte, Anurag Johri – managing director of Accenture, Rahul Sanghvi – partner of BCG, Lokesh Gupta – partner of EY, Samir Sathe – executive Vice President of Wadhwani Foundation, Vivek Kamra
The session was inaugurated by Ranveer Sinha, president of Alumni Association XLRI and Member – XLRI Board of Governors where he shed light on the rich history and culture of XLRI.
The event was then followed by the Keynote address by Sanjay Dawar, Managing Director, Global Consulting Network, Accenture, on “Consulting of the Future.”
Based on his own experience he shared his thoughts on modern-day consulting and helped the students understand how important it is for consultants to keep creating value for customers even after the engagement is over.
He also talked about the value of focusing on process excellence and people and not just on outcomes and lastly he stated that “Constant upskilling is the key to changing requirements of the future.”
Issues around Human Capital in Mergers and Acquisitions and how consultants pitch in to resolve those challenges was discussed by Prakhar Tripathi – director, Deloitte, Vivek Kamra, MD of Alvarez & Marsal discussed “Business Strategy & Effective Execution.”
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Kanagaraj Ayyalusamy, Professor and Placement Convenor, ExPGDM, XLRI Jamshedpur.
