Ranchi, Feb 18: Four archers of Jharkhand have secured their place in the Junior India Camp (Recurve and Compound) which is being organised in Switzerland from February 20 to 27.

A total of six archers will represent India in the camp, out of which four are from the state itself.

Jharkhand’s Deepti, Komolika and Lakshmi are in the recurve event camp, while there is only one player Babita Kumari in the compound event. All the archers are currently undergoing training in Sonipat.

Two of these archers Deepti and Babita are from Ranchi (Silli and Jonha), while Komolika Bari and Lakshmi Hembram are residents of Jamshedpur and were training at Tata Archery Academy.

Deepti of Jonha Archery Centre is a national level archer and Babita of Birsa Munda Archery Academy, Silli is an international level archer. Both the players have come this far after facing difficulties.

On the other hand, Komolika has won gold in the World Archery Championship, while Lakshmi has also played in the international level competition. These four players were selected for the Junior India Camp in the National Ranking Competition held in Hyderabad in January 2022.
