New Delhi, Feb 28: India reported 8,013 new Covid-19 cases and 119 deaths in the last 24 hours, pushing the total death toll to 5,13,843, according to the data released by the Ministry of Health on Monday. The active cases now stand at 102601.
In the last 24 hours, the active Covid-19 caseload has decreased by 8,871 patients. Today, 16,765 recoveries were made in the country, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 4,23,07,686.
The national recovery rate for Covid-19 is 98.56 percent. According to the ministry, the daily positivity rate was 1.11 percent, and the weekly positivity rate was 1.17 percent.
Furthermore, the total number of doses administered in the country as part of the statewide Covid-19 vaccination effort has surpassed 177.50 crore. In the previous 24 hours, 7,23,828 tests were performed to detect the existence of the virus.
