Ranchi, March 3: BJP state president and Rajya Sabha member termed the state government budget for the year 2022-23 ‘Khali Dabba Khali Bottle’, ‘old wine in old bottle’ and ‘disha vihin, drishti bihin and niti vihin’.

Prakash shared his view organizing a press conference at the party’s state headquarters where party’s state general secretary Aditya Sahu was also present.

He said that the budget reflects poor leadership having no vision to develop the state. Apart from this, he said that the budget reflects that the state government does not have any mechanism to spend the budgetary provision and is in the trap of financial mismanagement and financial anarchism.

“The state government which kept on shedding crocodile tears taking a crisis of funds could spend only 40 percent of its budget and failed to increase revenue from the mining sector. The budget suggests that the government has nothing to give to ST, SC, BC, women, farmers,” the BJP state president said.

He said: “In the budget, allocation in the education sector, social sector is less than the previous budget and it does not reflect the seriousness of the state government towards the development of industry, education, and development of villagers.”

Presenting data, the BJP state president said: “Under PM Gram Sadak Yojna the government could construct hardly 377 km of the road against the target of 2000km though the fund for the same was provided by the union government. Failure has deprived rural youths of jobs.”

He said the budget does not have any provision for the job of migrating labourers who returned to the state and nothing to fight against malnutrition for which the Raghubar Das government had appointed as many as 10000 sisters.

Terming the government as anti-farmer, the BJP state chief said: “The government could purchase 4.36 lakh tonnes of paddy at a minimum support price against the target of 8 lakh. It so far has failed to waive the loan of over 9 lakh farmers.

He said the budget does not have any provision for the development of health infrastructure, strengthening of the PDS system, the opening of 500 model schools, tribal university, skill development centres and police modernization.”

The state president said the budget also reflected the poor commitment of the state government to conduct Panchayat elections saying that the budget does not have provision for Panchayat elections but the BJP will compel the state government to conduct the same.
