Jharkhand: JCECEB reschedules dates for second round of admissions in MBBS, BHMS, and BDS courses

Ranchi, Mar 10: The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has rescheduled dates for the second round of admissions in MBBS, BHMS, and BDS courses.

According to an official, the final date earlier for submission of application by left out interested candidates was Feb 15 to Feb 17. The Provisional State Merit list for the second round of counseling with newly added candidates was to be published on Feb 20.

Any kind of objections could have been made on the Provisional State Merit list for the second round of counseling was done on Feb 22, wherein, applicants will have to provide supporting documents for correction on the board’s email id controller.jceceb@gmail.com.

After the final State Merit list was published, online registration and the process of filing choices for desired seats for allotment was to be done from Feb 25 to March 1. However, the date has now been changed to March 10 to March 18.

Meanwhile, Provisional seat allotment letters were then to be issued between March 5 and March 9, while now it will be issued by March 23 to March 26. Similarly, document verification and admission in the concerned institute will also be allowed between March 23 and 26.

The notice released by the JCECEB further states, “In compliance of direction given by the health, medical Education and Family Welfare department, Government of Jharkhand, with respect to fee fixation for MBBS seats in Manipal Tata Medical College, Jamshedpur for reserved category (EWS, SC, ST, BC I and BC II), candidates have to respond ‘YES’ for reserved category seats; ‘NO’ for unreserved category seats, and ‘NONE’ for making reserved category the first choice and unreserved category as the second choice in case the reserved seats are unavailable. However, in such cases, fees reserved for unreserved category will be applicable.”
