Imphal, March 10: The BJP is leading in 28 constituencies out of 60 and the Congress was leading in 7 constituencies in Manuipur assembly election.
Officials said the counting of votes for 60 assembly seats in Manipur began at 8 a.m. on Thursday, with tight security and strict adherence to COVID-19 rules.
Early polling data from all 60 constituencies showed the BJP leading in 23 seats, the Congress in 12, and the NPP in 11.
Notably, the Congress has forged an alliance of six political parties and named it Manipur Progressive Secular Alliance.
