Ranchi, March 11: Security personnel engaged in anti-Naxal operations in Lohardaga forest since February 8 today again recovered a cache of arms and ammunition hidden by the Maoists at Putrar forest.
The arms and ammunition include one regular 303 rifle besides over 100 ammunition, two magazines of carbine and 150 tiffins besides others.
IG(operation) A.V.Homkar confirmed the recovery saying that recovery suggests that Maoists have failed to continue their activities in the area following police pressure.
Since February 8, as many as 10 encounters have taken place between security personnel and Maoists resulting in three injuries of CRPF personnel besides arresting a big number of Maoists and recovery of a cache of arms and ammunition.
