Jamshedpur, March 16: South Eastern Railway notified two more special trains today keeping in view the extra rush of passengers for the Holi festival, which will be celebrated on March 19.
One special train will run between Tatanagar and Patna while the other one will run between Shalimar and New Jalpaiguri. The Tatanagar – Patna Holi Special will leave Tatanagar on March 17 while the return train will be leaving Patna on March 18.
The Shalimar-New Jalpaiguri Holi Special too will leave Shalimar on March 17 while the return train will leave New Jalpaiguri the next day on March 18.
The 08183 Tatanagar-Patna Special will leave Tatanagar at 10.15 pm and will reach Patna at 9.30 am, the next day.
In the opposite direction, 08184 Patna-Tatanagar Special will leave Patna at 10.30 am and will arrive at Tatanagar at 10.30 pm, the same day.
The Special trains will have stoppages at Muri, Barkakana, Hazaribagh Town, Koderma, Gaya and Jehanabad stations between Tatanagar and Patna.
The 02885 Shalimar-New Jalpaiguri Special will leave Shalimar at 1.40 pm and will reach New Jalpaiguri at 12.10 am the next day.
In the opposite direction, 02886 New Jalpaiguri Special will leave New Jalpaiguri at 11.45 am and will arrive at Shalimar at 12.20 am, the next day.
The special trains will have stoppages at Dankuni, Barddhman, Rampurhat, Malda Town, Barsoi, Kishanganj and Aluabari stations between Shalimar and New Jalpaiguri.
Meanwhile, all the Bihar- bound trains including Tata- Chhapra and Tata- Patna South Bihar Express are showing ‘ No Room’ status (tickets not available) between March 17 and 19.
Advance bookings have also gained momentum in all Bihar bound long-distance buses because of Holi.
Every year a huge rush is witnessed in trains and buses during Holi as people travel to their native places to celebrate the festival.
The rush has increased this year as Covid restrictions have been withdrawn with a drastic fall in positive cases.
