Ranchi, March 23: PDS dealer Anil Kesari of Pithoria area of Kanke block of Ranchi is said to have distributed food grains without allotment. Notably, all the ration dealers in the district have to distribute the PMGKY ration for the month of March. However, Anil Kesari, the PDS dealer in Pithoria, has distributed the grains to the beneficiaries only on paper without being allotted the grains for the month of March. The Block Supply Officer and the District Supply Officer have received complaints from several beneficiaries regarding this.

Hundreds of beneficiaries have been deprived of food grains due to the arbitrariness of the PDS dealer in the area adjacent to the capital. After the matter came to light in front of the Ranchi District Supply Officer Albert Bilung, he initiated prompt action, investigated the matter and submitted his report. DSO Bilung said that he received a complaint about Anil Kumar Kesari, a dealer of Pithoria area of Kanke block, stating that he has not been allotted PMGKY ration in the month of March. However, despite that he showed proof that he has distributed ration by getting the thumb imprints of the card holders.

As per sources, the PDS dealer Anil Kumar attempted to embezzle more than 25 quintals of food grains by putting the thumb impressions of about 134 card holders. The card holders whose thumb impressions have been taken include AAY, PH and GREEN card holders. Not only grain, but also the distribution of salt has been showcased in records among the said beneficiaries.
