New Delhi, March 27: According to a directive issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, India is set to resume normal foreign flights on Sunday, nearly two years after the pandemic began.

Scheduled Foreign Carriers have sought for approval of their international schedule, according to the order. Summer Schedule 2022 will be in force from March 27, 2022, until October 29, 2022.

During the Summer Schedule 2022, 60 foreign airlines from 40 countries, including Mauritius, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, the United States of America, Iraq, and others, have been given permission to fly 1783 frequencies to and from India.

Since March 2020, India had suspended the international flights due to the covid-19 pandemic.
