Ranchi, March 31: The Supreme court hearing the petition of those who lost their government job after the revision of the sixth JPSC civil services examination result today asked the state government to let the court know whether those losing the jobs due to the revision of the list will get a job or not.

A division bench comprising Justices Ajay Rastogi and Abhay Oka in the apex court heard the matter. The petitioners in the case are Varun Kumar and Faizan Sarwar. They knocked on the door of the court for the inclusion of names of those who are getting out due to revision of results.

The next hearing in this matter will take place on April 27.

During the last hearing, the court had issued notice to the JPSC and the Jharkhand government and directed them to maintain the status quo in the matter.

Senior advocates of Supreme Court Prashant Bhushan, P Patwalia, Kapil Sibal, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, V. Mohana, Vigyan Shah, Chishti Jain, and  Shubhashish Rasik Soren besides others remained present during the hearing.

The case arose after the division bench of Jharkhand High Court Chief comprising Justice Dr. Ravi Ranjan and Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad upheld the decision of the single bench quashing the merit list of the 6th JPSC examination after it realized that in merit list was prepared by adding marks of the qualifying papers contrary to the set norms.
