Shimla, April 1: The government of Himachal Pradesh issued an order on Thursday lifting all limitations on coronavirus containment in the state, citing a dramatic decline in new instances of Covid-19 infections.

The Himachal Pradesh government’s official statement further stated that mask use and hand hygiene will continue to drive the state’s overall response to the Covid-19 epidemic.

In light of a dramatic drop in new cases, several other states, including Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Jammu and Kashmir, have already eliminated most of the Covid-induced restrictions.

In light of a dramatic decrease in the number of new Covid-19 cases in the national capital, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) ruled on Thursday that there will be no charge for not wearing face masks in public areas.

The Maharashtra government had announced earlier throughout the day that the mask mandate would be phased out from April 2.
