MBBS aspirants to get another chance on 325 All India Quota seats via special admission round

Dhanbad, April 19: MBBS aspirants would get another chance of getting a seat in the All India Quota as the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has decided to hold a Special Stray Vacancy Round  to fill up 325 vacant seats in 2021-22 academic sessions

As per the circular issued by the Director General of Health Services (DGHS), even after the completion of the Stray Vacancy Round, 325 MBBS seats of All India Quota. Central university/ central institutes are still vacant.

“So, the competent authority has decided to conduct a Special Stray Vacancy Round for the vacant (325) MBBS seats in an online mode so that the precious All India Quota seats do not go waste,” the circular said.

All the UG NEET eligible candidates, who are registered with MCC  can participate in the Special Stray Vacancy Round. However, they will have to pay a refundable security deposit of  Rs 50,000 for participation. The official said the security deposit of the candidate will be forfeited if he/she fails to join the allotted seat in Special Stray Vacancy Round.

Director medical education wing of the Jharkhand health department Dr Arun Kumar said that only the candidates who do not hold any MBBS seats of All India Quota or State quota in any institution are eligible to participate in the last chance for vacant 325 vacant seats. Those who have already held seats either in the all India quota or state quota can’t participate in it.

“Jharkhand Combined  Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has also started accepting applications for vacant seats of state quota. In a week, the seat allotment will be done,”, said Dr Arun Kumar, director medical education wing of the state health department.

In Jharkhand, 13 MBBS seats of state quota are still vacant in four medical colleges. All (100) seats have been filled up only at Phulo Jhano Medical College Hospital (PJMCH) Dumka.
