Ramgarh, April 19: The traders of Ramgarh started the first phase of agitation against the market committee tax, which they call the ‘black law,’ being re-imposed by the state government by wearing black badges. The protest took place under the leadership of the Ramgarh District Food Business Association.
“It is known that once again, the market committee tax is being imposed by the state government. In the past, a state-level conference of traders across the state was organized under the guidance of the Jharkhand Federation Chamber of Commerce on Sunday,” said Amit Sahu, President of Ramgarh District Food Business Association.
According to the information, a phased movement has been decided at the state-level conference. In the first phase, the traders will protest by wearing a black badge and in the second phase, they will put up a poster campaign. In the third phase, they will protest on behalf of the public and in the fourth phase, they will protest in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
The traders said that if the state government does not withdraw this law by May 14, then from May 16, the entire Jharkhand will be closed indefinitely.
On this occasion Pradeep Kumar Barelia, Vinay Agarwal, Gopal Kumar, Golu Bansal, Satish Chaudhary, Manoj Bansal and others were present.
