ICFAI University Jharkhand students get jobs in reputed IT companies

Ranchi, April 21: Several Computer Science students from ICFAI University, Jharkhand, who graduated in session 2022, were given placements by top IT companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini etc. Arish Tufail and Hemad Karim were selected by TCS, while Arti Kumari and Dev Ashish Kumar Singh were selected by Wipro. Capgemini, a French multinational IT and consulting company, also selected Arish Tufail and Aarti Kumari.

“Till now, around 90 percent of the qualified students of IT programmes like BCA, BTech (CSE), MCA have received placements from reputed companies. Other companies that have come up for campus placements of IT graduates of the university include Nil Advantage, Webplus, Cryptosoft, etc,” said officials at ICFAI University.

Congratulating all the IT students who received the placement offers, University Vice Chancellor Professor O R S Rao said, “We are happy to know that in several rounds of evaluation by top IT companies, all of you have been selected by the reputed institutions. Faced with tough competition and you all succeeded. When you launch yourself in your professional career, you need to adapt yourself to the new corporate work environment and work with dedication so that you have a successful career.”

Expressing her gratitude to the University, Aarti Kumari, who was selected by Wipro and Capgemini, said, “The University’s latest curriculum, coupled with dedicated faculty members, helped me prepare for rigorous assessment by reputed IT companies.” Arish Tufail and Hemad Karim attributed their selection to thorough learning of fundamentals along with rigorous practice in IT Labs.

Dev Ashish Kumar Singh said, “Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, we continued to have quality education due to the Swadhyaya Digital Learning Management System implemented in our university. Due to the encouragement of the university, we completed MOOC courses in emerging technology areas, which helped me keep myself skilled.”

Dr. Abhay Kumar Sinha, Coordinator, IT Faculty, expressed his happiness saying, “The credit goes to our students, who worked hard to get selected in the competitive written examination. This is not the first time that our students have been selected by reputed IT companies. Our alumni are working in reputed companies like Accenture, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant etc.

Congratulating the students, Prof Sumit Sinha, Faculty-in-Charge in-charge of Placement said, “Mock Tests and Mock Interviews helped our students to participate in the selection interview with confidence”.
