Ranchi, May 9: It has been some time since the board examination for Matriculation and Inter conducted by the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) ended. However, the evaluation work of answer sheets is yet to begin. As per JAC officials, the answer sheets have been kept in a safe place.
According to the latest information, the evaluation is to soon begin at a total of six evaluation centres in the city from May 12.
This time around almost 1100 teachers were to be engaged in the evaluation work. To ensure that there is no shortage of teachers, teachers of schools and colleges with the approval of establishment will also be engaged in this work.
JAC Chairman Dr Anil Kumar Mahato, while talking to lagatar24.com correspondent in this regard said, “The checking will begin by May 12. However, due to the panchayat polls, we are unsure by when the results will be ready to be declared. We will try our best to release the results by the end of June, but one can never be too sure.”
Elaborating on the matter, Dr Mahato said, “Maximum number of our teachers that would check the papers will be busy with the polls and then counting for some time. Meanwhile, checking will be hampered and delayed as a result of this. Hence, I cannot be sure when the results will be ready to be declared.”
According to JAC sources, a target has been given to complete the evaluation work in 20 days. Also, the personal target set is before June 15. However, this time the evaluation work is starting late and will be further delayed due to the panchayat polls, which can affect the release of the results.
After the release of the Jharkhand Board result, students will be able to check their results and scorecard by visiting the website of the Jharkhand Academic Council at jac.jharkhand.gov.in.
Notably, more than 6.8 lakh students had registered for the Jharkhand Board 10th and 12th exams and a total of 1936 examination centres were made for the board examination.
