Both the teams consisted of BCA students of the fourth semester. The evaluation was based on various parameters such as novelty, complexity, clarity and detail, feasibility, practicality, consistency, the scale of impact, user experience, and future work potential.

The VC added, “Furthermore when students participate in teams, they learn to work in teams for problem-solving. I am impressed with both the shortlisted teams, who have done various activities like market promotion of tourism using video data management (which is a technical problem) and virtual walkthrough (which can help in effective marketing in India as well as abroad). The students also identified contemporary problems and came up with innovative solutions.”
University Registrar Prof Arvind Kumar motivated the students to prepare better so that they can win the upcoming National Hackathon Competition. The jury consisted of Dr Abhay Kumar Sinha, Dr Sandeep Kumar Modak, Prof. Prateek Biswas and Dr Saurabh Jha, all faculty members from the Department of IT.
