Panchayat polls: Palamu admin issues two day counting schedule to manage crowd

Daltonganj, May 31: The Palamu administration has issued a two day counting schedules beginning from May 31 for an effective crowd management, as per the sources.

They added that never in the past panchayats were selected in this manner for counting of votes as it was done this time.

The administration has instructed that the panchayats which have been scheduled for the counting today will have polling agents of those panchayats only and the others would not be allowed to be present around the counting venue.

Since the counting venue is on the NH 75, the administration has taken keen interest to manage the traffic. They made spaces available for parking of all types of vehicles of the polling agents, candidates, their representatives etc. away from the counting venue.

Palamu DC Shashi Ranjan, SP Chandan kr Sinha, DDC Megha Bhardwaj and SDPO Surjit Kumar were seen observing every scene of the counting venue, as per the sources.
