Mumbai, Dec 31: Winner of Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 Arjun Bijlani, who recently announced on social media that he had tested positive for COVID-19, tested positive for the new variant of Coronavirus, Omicron.

In the interview, the actor expressed how much he misses playing with and hugging his son now that he has isolated himself and is in quarantine. He also revealed that they had made Christmas and New Year’s plans, but they had all fallen through. Arjun also revealed that his mother tested positive for COVID but is now doing well. He also discussed how he keeps himself busy.

“Staying away from family is not a problem, the problem is that I am in the same house but isolated in a different room. When you are traveling for a shoot, you are mentally prepared that you are away. But here I am isolated in a room and I can’t hug them, meet them or do anything. I can’t go close to my son Ayaan, play with him. I see him from my room but that is too far. But I do hear his voice, when he’s playing with his mom and our house help. It’s the holiday season and we had so many plans. But everything went in the drain,” said the actor.

“I would like to tell people because this is what I feel as of now. This new virus, Omicron, is not fatal because I am experiencing it. I’ve gotten fine in 2/3 days time. I don’t think the hospitalization rate we saw in the second wave of this virus, this variant cannot lead to the same. I don’t think there is any reason to panic but yes we are seeing an increase in the number of cases because the transmissible rate is fast. It’s 3/4 times faster than the earlier variant. That’s the reason so many people are getting tested positive together,” he added.

He also said that he believes that people who are fully vaccinated and take proper care, such as taking multivitamins and vitamin C, will face no problem. He also advised that People with comorbidities must exercise extra caution.

Meanwhile, 70 year old Arjun’s mother has also tested positive for COVID-19.
