Adityapur, July 30: Rs 83 crore has been allocated for the construction of about 35 kilometers of roads and drains in all seven phases of the Adityapur industrial area. Notably, the roads and drains of the industrial area built 16 years ago have been completely demolished. Not even a single rupee has been spent in these 16 years on the repair of roads and drains built 16 years ago.
Recently, the Industries Secretary, who had visited Adityapur, had himself seen the condition of the roads on the complaint of the entrepreneurs, only after that he had assured to make roads and drains soon. The initiative has started on this. Last Wednesday, for the reconstruction of dilapidated roads and drains in the industrial area, JIDA’s assistant engineer Praveen Chowdhary started the process of making a DPR by surveying with the consultant reinstated by the Road Construction Department. On this occasion, the people of the entrepreneurs’ organization were also present.
It has been decided in the JIADA Board meeting that only the RCD (Road Construction Department) will make roads and drains in the industrial area. Under this, the department has restored Creative Engineering Services for preparing the DPR. Giving information, JIADA’s regional director Prem Ranjan said that the DPR is being prepared, after which the construction of road and drain will start from September 2023, after quick technical and administrative approval. Regional Director Prem Ranjan was told that about 35 kilometers of roads are to be constructed in all the 7 phases of the industrial area, for which administrative approval of Rs 83 crore has been received. The regional director told that the roads will not be renewed but now the old roads will be repaired with bituminous.
JIADA director told that his second priority is the street lights of the industrial area, but there is an obstacle in it, which will be removed soon and the work of repairing it will also be started. He told that entrepreneurs will have to wait for a while for street lights as SK Power Services, the street light making agency has been blacklisted which was not able to provide better service here. After being blacklisted, the agency is on appeal in the High Court, as soon as the decision comes from there, the work of repairing the street lights will be started by restoring the new agency.
