New Delhi, June 14: Rahul Gandhi was questioned for more than ten hours yesterday in connection with an alleged money laundering case involving the National Herald newspaper. According to sources, he was summoned for further questioning today.
Notably, Rahul Gandhi and his mother, Congress president Sonia Gandhi, had been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate for questioning in connection with alleged money laundering tied to the National Herald newspaper. After a trial court took notice of a private complaint against Young Indian Pvt Ltd, the agency launched the money laundering case.
The private complainant accused Young Indian Pvt Ltd of cheating, conspiracy and criminal breach of trust in the alleged acquisition of Associated Journals Limited, which owned the newspaper.
