Ranchi, Jan.25: Those agitating against irregularities in holding the 7th to 10th JPSC PT examinations today heaved a sigh of relief after the JPSC submitted before the court that it will review its PT result and thus defer the main examination.
Co-ordinator of Jharkhand Youth Association, Safique Imam, shared the feeling saying the JPSC is in strategic retreat mode.
“First it admitted some mistake by disqualifying the candidate serially qualified for the PT examination and fearing more exposure it made all effort to ensure conduction of the mains examination. A single judge bench of the court also gave order in its favour. But finally when the matter reached before the division bench encouraging development took place,” Imam said.
Imam said the development is a slap on the face of the chief minister who termed ‘Moolvasi’ as ‘Manuvadi’ after they staged demonstration against PT result bungling and attempted to minimise the issue even on the floor of the house.
Imam said the JPSC has been making mistakes after mistakes from the beginning. “The recruitment agency first did not give any relaxation in age to help those whose age lapsed due to delay in recruitment examination and then made the reservation rule vague.”
Another JPSC candidate said a proper probe is required in the matter. “It is worth a probe how a big number of candidates sitting in a particular room at Manoharlal Inter College, Lohardaga and Utkramit Uccha Vidyalaya (Purani), Sahibganj cleared their preliminary test organised for the selection of candidates for seventh to tenth civil service mains examination being organised by Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC). Roll number of the candidates qualified from these centres is almost continuously in serial. When the matter got highlighted it was said that their OMR sheet was missing and all of a sudden they were declared disqualified,” the candidate said.
