Ranchi, Dec 20: The condition of JPSC PT qualified candidate Ghulam Hasan, who has been on a hunger strike for the last eight days, has become critical today.

For the last eight days, Hasan has been sitting on a hunger strike to dissolve the JPSC. He had started his fast in front of the JPSC building but after being forcefully removed by the police, he continued his fast in front of Bapu Vatika in Morhabadi. Due to the imposition of section 144, the police had forcibly removed him from there as well.

After being removed for the second time, he with his companions was sitting on a fast unto death in front of the Raj Bhavan.

Meanwhile, seeing Ghulam’s condition deteriorating today, his companions took him to Sadar Hospital where he has been kept under the supervision of doctors.

When this correspondent of lagatar24.com spoke to Ghulam, he said that JPSC has lost its credibility. It should be closed and this exam should be conducted by UPSC by cancelling the 7th-10th JPSC PT exam.

“All the guilty officials should be given the harshest punishment so that any institution playing with the future of the youth of Jharkhand can be stopped,” Ghulam said.

On the other hand, AJSU party’s MLA Lambodar Mahto has raised the question on JPSC saying that if the OMR sheets of 49 PT passed candidates were missing, then why the commission didn’t take action against the culprits by registering an FIR.

“It is a matter of investigation how 49 candidates were declared successful without any OMR sheet. Later, the commission itself admitted that the OMR of 49 candidates who passed the PT was not available. The Commission did not take the initiative to take action against the guilty by registering an FIR first and JPSC has created a world record of malpractice,” Mahto said.

He has demanded the Speaker of the Assembly to form a committee of the Assembly for a fair investigation of the entire matter.
