Jamshedpur, Oct 30: Adityapur Industrial Area Development Authority (AIADA) will put up a stall in India International Trade Fair – 2021 to be held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi next month.
The AIADA’s step to participate in the international trade fair is aimed at wooing investors for its upcoming electronic manufacturing cluster in Adityapur.
AIADA secretary Prem Ranjan said the trade fair will start from November 14 and continue till November 27 where there will be a pavilion from Jharkhand beside other states. The AIADA will participate in the mega event by putting up its stall in the Jharkhand pavilion.
“Last year the international trade fair could not be held due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but this year the mega trade fair is going to be organised. Our aim behind participating in the trade fair is to woo investors from the country as well as abroad for the upcoming electronic manufacturing hub in Adityapur,” said Ranjan.
The AIADA secretary said they have enough space for the investors at the newly set up electronic manufacturing cluster and the idea behind participating in the trade fair is to draw the attention of the investors, especially from the foreign countries for the promotion of the electronics hub.
There are over 1,400 industrial units in Adityapur under the command area of AIADA in the adjoining Seraikela-Kharsawan district.
While starting spadework for an exclusive electronic manufacturing cluster in Adityapur four years ago, the AIADA had envisaged to turn into a world class hub, but not enough companies did turn up there for setting up units.
Ashok Kumar Bihany, consultant for the Electronic manufacturing cluster said that the AIADA had allotted space for 51 units in the hub.
“But as of now, only 30 entrepreneurs have turned up to set up their manufacturing units there. Most of those allotted the space are from Adityapur and other parts of the state whereas only two entrepreneurs are from Calcutta and Pune respectively. We want more and more companies from other parts of the country and also from abroad to come here, ” said Bihany.
Bihany said they are hopeful of luring a good number of companies from across the country and also from foreign countries into setting up units in the electronic manufacturing cluster through the international trade fair.
