New Delhi, March 31: Bharti Airtel and Tech Mahindra established a strategic alliance on Thursday to create and market enterprise-grade digital solutions spanning 5G, private networks, and the cloud.

In India, telecom operator Airtel has been demonstrating and testing 5G, while IT services company Tech Mahindra has built 5G applications and platforms.

According to a release, Airtel and Tech Mahindra will collaborate to create and sell 5G use cases in India.

The two companies will collaborate to establish a 5G innovation centre to generate ‘Make-in-India’ application cases for the Indian and worldwide markets.

They’ll also bring bespoke enterprise-grade private networks to market, which will be at the heart of the digital economy.

Airtel’s integrated connectivity portfolio of 5G ready mobile network, fibre, and Internet of Things (IoT) would be combined with Tech Mahindra’s system integration expertise in these solutions.

Automobiles, aircraft, ports, utilities, chemicals, oil and gas will be the initial emphasis of the enterprises, which will thereafter spread to other industries.

According to the release, Airtel and Tech Mahindra would also provide cloud and Content Delivery Network (CDN) solutions to enterprises.
