Chandil: AJSU Party’s Central General Secretary, Harelal Mahto, has been sent to judicial custody in connection with an old case. On Wednesday, Mahto appeared before the court in Neemdih police station’s case to seek bail. While he was granted bail in that matter, the Chandil Sub-Divisional Court remanded him to judicial custody in an old case registered at Tiruldih police station.

Disappointment Among AJSU Workers

The case at Tiruldih police station pertains to an arrest warrant issued against Mahto during a past election. Following his arrest and subsequent imprisonment, disappointment spread among AJSU Party workers.

Harelal Mahto had contested the last assembly elections as the NDA’s joint candidate from the Ichagarh Assembly constituency.
