Hyderabad: South superstar Allu Arjun appeared at the Chikkadpally Police Station today, December 24, following a notice issued by Hyderabad Police in connection with the Sandhya Theatre stampede case. The actor reached the police station from his residence in Jubilee Hills for questioning regarding the tragic incident.

Incident During Film Premiere

The stampede occurred on December 4 at Sandhya Theatre, a day before the release of Allu Arjun’s film ‘Pushpa: The Rule’. The actor’s presence at the theatre reportedly led to chaos after he left the venue, resulting in the death of a woman named Revathi and serious injuries to several others, including her son Sriteja.

Revathi’s husband, Mogadampalli Bhaskar, filed a case against Allu Arjun, his security agency, and the theatre management, holding them responsible for the mishap.

Previous Arrest and Bail

Hyderabad Police had earlier arrested Allu Arjun on December 13 in connection with the incident. The actor was taken to the Chikkadpally Police Station, where he was questioned about the events that transpired at Sandhya Theatre.

Following the interrogation, Allu Arjun underwent a medical examination at Gandhi Hospital before being presented in court. The Telangana court, presided over by Judge Juvvadi Sridevi, ordered a 14-day judicial custody for the actor.

Allu Arjun then approached the Telangana High Court, which granted him bail on the same day at around 5 PM. However, due to delays in receiving the bail order, he had to spend the night in jail.

Police Investigation Continues

The police are now continuing their investigation into the tragic incident, focusing on allegations of negligence by the actor, his security team, and the theatre authorities.
