Ranchi, Jan.27: Amity Institute of Psychology and Allied Sciences(AIPAS) of Amity University, Jharkhand (AUJ), hosted a Sensitizing talk on ‘Resilience – the power of passion and perseverance’ on Thursday wherein Iccha Bhan, Cognitive Hypnotic Life Coach was the guest speaker.

The session began with the motivational quote of Sir Robert Jordan spoken by AIPAS Assistant Professor Dr. Dolly Ranjan moderating the event. She said, “The oak fought the wind and was broken, the willow bent when it must and survived.”

Addressing the audience, Iccha Bhan said, “Water can teach us a lot, if we are willing to observe and love.” The statement was explained through a powerpoint presentation.

Notably, Ichha Bhan is a counseling physiologist, yoga instructor, and content creator by profession. She discussed the power of positive emotion and the impact of passion one can have on themselves.

Prof. (Dr.) Raman Kumar Jha, Vice-Chancellor of Amity University, Jharkhand narrated his thought as “Defeat is something which is inside our mind and, it is not a part or parcel of the external world.”

“People face all types of hardships in life that could damage them from the scoop. There could be subjective crises of prolonged illness of self or their loved ones, financial instability, loss of a loved one, death of a close relative, colleague, or friend, separation, job loss, and business loss,” he stated.

Taking this further, Prof. (Dr.) Ajit Kumar Pandey, Director of Amity University, Jharkhand added that Resilience is typically defined as the capacity to recover from difficult life events.  It takes span, strength, and aid from people around you, and you’ll likely encounter lapses along the way. But ultimately, you achieve the top and look back at how far you’ve come.

Prabhakar Tripathi, Registrar of Amity University, Jharkhand gave his sincere thanks to the department and the chief guest Ichha Bhan for spreading the awareness among the students.
