Ranchi, Nov 3: After the Election Commission of Indian (ECI) announced Gujarat assembly election date, the JMM today expressed its commitment to influence the voters against the BJP in 82 of 40 seats which are reserved for tribals and scheduled castes.

Senior JMM leader Supriyo Bhattacharya expressed the intention during a press conference at the party’s state headquarters in Bariatu saying that the party will let tribals and downtrodden of the state know about the feudal character of the BJP and also made them aware of the party’s attempt to disturb a democratically elected tribal chief minister Hemant Soren.

He said that the BJP often talks about ‘Chhal, Charitra and Chehra’ and now the JMM will let people know about what is the real character of the BJP.

Asked how the JMM will execute its plan, Bhattacharya indicated use of social media and visits to Gujarat: “Chidiya Udana Hum Bhi Jante Hain. Yahan Se Ahmedabad Ki Doori Napna Jante Hai,” he said.

Bhattacharya, on the occasion, also criticised the ECI saying it fixes election dates according to the convenience of a particular person and it is better to tell it ‘Election Convenience of Individual’. He predicted a definite defeat of the BJP in Himachal Pradesh and heavy loss in Gujarat saying mismanagement during the corona pandemic and work of awarding tender of bridge construction to a watch manufacturing company is going to make a major impact in the election.

Bhattacharya, on the occasion, also talked about party workers’ rally saying it was ‘spontaneous’ and was an indication about the future course of action.

“Aaj Apne Angdai Dekhi Hai, Aage Asli Ladai Dekhenge,” Bhattacharya said, adding that the war will be decisive in 2024 when the BJP will be nowhere.
