Army chopper crash : 13 dead, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to brief parliament tomorrow

New Delhi, Dec.8: 13 out of 14 people on the military chopper have been confirmed as dead, according to news agency ANI. Identities of the bodies are to be confirmed through DNA testing.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will brief the parliament on this crash of the army chopper in Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu tomorrow, December 9.

14 people were on-board the military chopper that crashed b/w Coimbatore & Sulur in Tamil Nadu. They included CDS Gen Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat, Brig LS Lidder, Lt Col Harjinder Singh, NK Gursewak Singh, NK Jitendra Kr, L/Naik Vivek Kumar, L/Naik B Sai Teja & Hav Satpal.

Visuals from the site of the Indian Army helicopter crash showed massive flames and locals helping with the immediate rescue operations. Several teams are at the site carrying out search and rescue operations.
