Washington: The ongoing conflict involving the United States, Iran, and Israel is increasingly turning into an energy war, with major oil and gas facilities becoming primary targets. Fresh reports of heavy missile attacks on key energy installations have triggered global concern and instability.

South Pars Gas Field Attack Escalates Crisis

The situation worsened after Israel reportedly targeted Iran’s South Pars gas field, the world’s largest natural gas reserve. The attack significantly heightened tensions, prompting a strong reaction from Iran and raising fears of a wider regional escalation.

Iran Retaliates With Strike On Qatar Facility

In retaliation, Iran launched missile strikes on a major gas facility in Qatar, causing massive fire and damage. Qatar, a leading global LNG exporter, sends over 80 percent of its liquefied natural gas to Asian markets, making the attack a major concern for global energy supply chains.

Qatar Expels Iranian Officials Amid Rising Tensions

Following the attack, Qatar ordered two Iranian embassy military officials to leave the country. The move reflects growing diplomatic tensions and signals a potential escalation in regional relations.

Trump Warns Iran Of Severe Consequences

US President Donald Trump warned Iran of serious repercussions if it launches further attacks on Qatar. He stated that any repeat strike could lead to the complete destruction of Iran’s South Pars gas field. However, Trump also clarified that the United States was not aware of Israel’s initial strike on the gas field.

Energy Conflict Raises Global Alarm

The targeting of critical LNG and gas infrastructure has raised fears of a global energy crisis. With vital supply routes and production hubs under threat, the conflict is now seen as a major risk to global fuel security and economic stability.
