Asian Games: India bags gold in Trap-50 men’s team event, women’s team wins silver

Hangzhou, Oct 1: Today is the 8th day of the Asian Games being played in Hangzhou, China. Like every day, even today Indian players are performing tremendously. On the last day of the shooting event, India won another gold medal in shooting. Not only this, India has also won a silver medal in shooting.

The trio of Prithviraj Todaiman, Kynan Chenai and Zorawar Singh Sandhu won the gold medal in the Trap-50 men’s team event. The women’s trap team of Manisha Keer, Preeti Razak and Rajeshwari Kumari was also successful in winning the silver medal.

The Indian men’s team scored 361 points in the qualification round. Whereas Kuwait’s team of Khalid Almudahaf, Talal Alarshidi and Abdulrahman Alfaihan won the silver medal with 359 points. Whereas the Chinese team of Yuhao Guo, Yink Ki and Yuhao Wang won the bronze medal with 354 points. In the men’s category, Chenai scored 122 points and Zorawar Singh Sandhu scored 120 points and made it to the individual finals.

Similarly, the Indian women’s team won the silver medal by scoring 337 points. The Chinese team of Qingnian Li, Suisui Wu and Xinqiu Zheng won the gold medal by setting a world record with 357 points. Whereas the Kazakhstan team of Maria Dmitrienko, Ezhan Dosamgambetova and Anastasia Prilepina won the bronze medal by scoring 336 points. Manisha Keer of the women’s category was successful in making it to the finals through a shoot-off after a tie with three other shooters.
