Asian Games: Indian women’s team clinch bronze in recurve archery

Hangzhou, Oct 6: At the ongoing Asian Games in Hangzhou, the Indian women’s recurve archery team, comprising Ankita Bhakat, Bhajan Kaur, and Simranjeet Kaur, added to India’s impressive performance by clinching a bronze medal. They achieved this by defeating Vietnam in the women’s recurve archery team event’s bronze medal match on Friday.

Prior to this, the Indian team had suffered a semifinal loss by a score of 6-2 to South Korea, the team that had won the previous six titles in the category. The bronze medal game against Vietnam was then scheduled after that.

India defeated Vietnam 6-2 to win the bronze medal contest.

India’s medal count now stands at 87, which includes 21 gold, 32 silver, and 34 bronze medals.
