New Delhi, Aug 23: Manish Sisodia, the deputy chief minister of Delhi, has been ordered to appear before a court in Assam’s Kamrup district on September 29 in connection with a libel case.
Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam, filed the complaint against Sisodia.
The Assam government allegedly awarded contracts to Sarma’s wife’s businesses and his son’s business partner to supply Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits at prices above market rates during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, according to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader’s allegations in a press conference a few months ago.
