Ranchi: Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi held a press conference on Thursday, alleging that individuals associated with the agency responsible for conducting the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) examination had secured government jobs for themselves, including relatives such as their brother and sister-in-law, claiming these individuals had been placed in several government positions.

Marandi Alleges Coordinated Nexus Involving Government Officials

Marandi alleged that the entire arrangement of irregularities was carried out jointly by these individuals, with people within the government also involved in the process.

Student Protests Over JPSC Irregularities Continue, BJP Extends Support

The allegations come amid an ongoing student protest over irregularities in the JPSC examination. Students staged a demonstration in Ranchi on Wednesday, which received support from the BJP, with several party leaders visiting the protest site at Jaipal Singh Stadium on Wednesday night to voice their support for the students.

CID Investigation Ongoing, Chairman Already Resigned

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is currently investigating the irregularities in the JPSC examination. The government has already accepted the resignation of JPSC chairman L. Khyangte, who has been undergoing questioning by CID officials for the past two days. The CID has arrested 10 people so far in connection with the case.
