Ranchi, Sept.3: BJP legislature party chief Babulal Marandi today visited the  Smart City site from where tribals were displaced and their houses were bulldozed.

After his visit, ex-Chief Minister, Marandi expressed his concern saying that the intention of the state government is not to settle the people but only to destroy them.

He was of the opinion that the  manner in which the tribal houses were demolished with the help of bulldozers yesterday is unfortunate. He said that it is the responsibility of the state government to rehabilitate the displaced families in the smart city.

He threatened agitation in case of failure of the state government  to make arrangements for rehabilitation. He said through a tweet that he will sit on a dharna with the displaced people to express his solidarity with them.
