Ranchi: Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Hemant Soren, accusing him of using the term “terrorist” for the majority Hindu community in an official press release issued during Ram Navami celebrations. Marandi described the use of such a term as “shameful and unfortunate.”
“It is expected of any Chief Minister to treat all citizens equally and maintain a respectful tone. However, Hemant Soren’s use of provocative and divisive language has exposed his biased and malicious mindset,” Marandi stated.
Allegation of Tarnishing the Hindu Majority’s Image
Marandi drew parallels between the alleged remarks and previous political narratives, saying, “This is reminiscent of how the Congress once tried to shield religious extremists by coining the false narrative of ‘Hindu terrorism.’ Now, Hemant Soren is treading the same path by attempting to defame the Hindu majority in Jharkhand as part of a calculated strategy.”
He added that such rhetoric is dangerous and could incite communal tension. “The people of Jharkhand will not allow this hateful and radical mindset to succeed,” he warned.
Demand for Public Apology
Marandi demanded that CM Soren immediately apologize to the Hindu majority for his remarks and explain the intention behind using such “insulting and objectionable” language against his own citizens. “If he fails to do so, the people of Jharkhand will deliver a fitting response,” he cautioned.
