Ranchi: BJP State President Babulal Marandi has posed five critical questions to Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren regarding the ongoing land scam involving lawyer Sujit Kumar, land trader Sanjeev Pandey, and several circle officers. Marandi has alleged that the state government is shielding corrupt officials linked to the scam.

Key Questions Raised by Babulal Marandi

First Question: Is it true that lawyer Sujit Kumar has been held in police custody for the past seven days without any legal proceedings and that there are efforts to suppress the case? If this is not true, why didn’t Ranchi Police issue a denial when I raised this issue a few days ago?

Second Question: According to the information received so far, it has come to light that circle officers have given crores of rupees to this middleman lawyer. The question arises: where did these circle officers get such large amounts of money? Doesn’t this confirm my allegations that a multi-billion-rupee land scam has taken place, especially in the capital, Ranchi?

Third Question: If the circle officers have paid crores to a middleman to manage the case, why hasn’t your government arrested any of these circle officers yet?

Fourth Question: Why, after seven days of delay and confusion by Ranchi Police, is there now a plan to hand over the case to the CID or ACB, giving it room to drag on for an extended period? Isn’t this an attempt to give a new twist to the matter and protect the corrupt officials involved?

Fifth Question: You are the Chief Minister, and the Home Ministry is under your purview. How should we interpret your silence on such a major scam?

Babulal Marandi’s questions have intensified political pressure on the state government, accusing it of protecting dishonest officials and delaying justice in the land scam that has shaken the state’s capital.
