Ranchi: BJP and Hindu leader Bhairav Singh was arrested by Ranchi Police on July 19 in connection with a dispute and assault related to a parking contract. Following his arrest, he was presented before the court and remanded to judicial custody.

Bail Plea Filed in Civil Court

Singh has now filed a bail petition in the Ranchi Civil Court, which is scheduled to be heard on August 8 in the court of the Additional Judicial Commissioner. His earlier bail plea was rejected by the magistrate’s court.

Dispute Over Tender Led to Assault Case

The incident occurred in the Chutia police station area near Sujata Chowk’s Big Bazaar parking zone. A scuffle broke out over the parking contract, during which Bhairav Singh was allegedly involved. The case was registered under FIR number 125/2025 at Chutia police station, and subsequent investigation led to his arrest.
