Dhanbad, June 22: Hundreds of students who either missed or failed the undergraduate (UG) semester one examination in Binod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University (BBMKU) Dhanbad would get one more lifeline to appear in the semester-3 examination.

BBMKU examination controller (EC) Dr Suman Barnwal assured this to a delegation of the National Students Union of India (NSUI) when he later met him in his chamber.

“Examination controller said that university is serious with this issue of the students and they would definitely get three more days to fill up the form of semester-3 examination if they clear semester-1 examination,” claimed NSUI president of PK Roy Memorial College chapter Raj Ranjan Singh, who led the delegation.

Notably, hundreds of students either failed or missed filling the form in the UG semester-1 examination due to a lack of information of the new circular of the UG course and the Corona pandemic. Due to the new evaluation system, many students were declared failed and are being denied the opportunity to fill up the semester-3 examination.

“Keeping this in view, we requested the Examination Controller to save one year of these students by extending the date of filling up examination form,” said Raj Ranjan Singh. He further added that the NSUI delegation also requested the Examination Controller to publish semester-1 results immediately so that those who are being denied to appear in the semester-3  examination get an opportunity.

Besides president Raj Ranjan Singh, NSUI vice-president Roshan Kumar, Aryan Pandit, Gaurav Kumar, Kunal Sab, Priyanshu Raj, Vivek Kumar and Ankit Kumar were members of the delegation that met the BBMKU examination controller.
