Kolkata, May 26: Bidisha De Majumdar, a Bengali model and actress, was found dead in her Kolkata flat.
Since the last four months, the 21-year-old actress has been renting a flat in the city. On the evening of Wednesday, May 25, police retrieved her body from her flat in Nagerbazar. They broke down her door to gain access to her home, where she was discovered hanging.
The inquiry into this case has been begun by the Barrackpore Police. Meanwhile, Bidisha’s body has been transported to the RG Kar hospital for a postmortem examination.
A suicide note was also discovered at Bidisha’s flat, according to a source. In 2021, Bidisha De Majumdar, a well-known model, made her acting debut in Anirbed Chattopadhyay’s short film Bhaar- The Clown, directed by Anirbed Chattopadhyay. Debraj Mukherjee, a well-known actor, played the lead role in the film.
