Bengaluru, Jan 20: A woman car driver dragged a two-wheeler rider on the bonnet of her SUV for about a kilometre near Mangalore Independent PU College in Ullal under Jnanabharati police limits around 10:50 am on Friday.
As per information, the woman allegedly hit a two-wheeler rider and when he questioned her, she tried to flee. The two-wheeler rider then got onto the car bonnet in an attempt to stop her, but she continued to move.
On seeing the man hanging on to the bonnet, locals chased the car and stopped the driver. They damaged the windshields of the car, thrashed the occupants and took them to the police station.

In a complaint to the police, the man, Darshan, claimed that Priyanka’s Tata Nexon collided with his Maruti Suzuki Swift. When he tried to stop her from leaving, she gunned the engine and hit him, flinging him onto the bonnet. Then she drove for about a kilometre.
The woman, Priyanka, drove for a kilometre in the city’s Jnana Bharathi Nagar while the man was unable to get off and was held on to the bonnet, said the police.
The car with registration number KA 03 NK 1012 is registered in the name of Priyanka S R.
Meanwhile, five people, including Priyanka and Darshan, have been arrested. The other three are Yashwant, Sujan and Vinay. Further investigation is underway.
