Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, a 25-year-old woman, identified as Navyashree, was found choked to death at her home in Bengaluru’s Kengeri area late on Tuesday night. Police have detained her husband, Kiran, who is currently being questioned in connection with the crime.

The tragic incident came to light when Navyashree’s friend, Aishwarya, who had stayed over at her place that night, discovered her lifeless body early Wednesday morning. According to the police, Aishwarya reported that Navyashree had reached out to her on Tuesday morning, expressing distress over her marriage. Concerned for her friend’s well-being, Aishwarya agreed to stay with her.

Aishwarya arrived at Navyashree’s residence in SMV Layout, Kengeri, around 4:30 PM on Tuesday. Later that evening, they were joined by Anil, another friend, and the three spent the evening discussing Navyashree’s troubled marriage over dinner. During the conversation, Anil advised Navyashree to consider filing a police complaint against her husband.

After dinner, Navyashree and Aishwarya dropped Anil home and returned to their residence, where they went to bed around 11:30 PM. The next morning, around 6:00 AM, Aishwarya awoke to the horrifying discovery that Navyashree had been strangled to death. She immediately contacted the police to report the incident.

Preliminary investigations suggest that Kiran, who was reportedly suspicious of his wife, may have used his key to enter the house during the night and allegedly committed the crime. Police are now interrogating Kiran to uncover the details surrounding Navyashree’s death.
