Bermo: Australian company Orica files FIR against project manager, accuses of selling new plant’s design

Bermo, May 27: A famous international company named Orica has filed an FIR against Project and Engineering Manager Satyanarayan KR, accusing him of selling the base design of the company’s new plant.

Orica is an Australian company based in Jharkhand’s Gomia.

Sangeet Baksi, the legal advisor of Orica’s subsidiary Indian Explosives Pvt Ltd, has filed a case against the project manager and others involved in the forgery at the IEL police station. Meanwhile, Satyanarayan KR has been sacked by Orica.

A case has been registered against Ideal Detonators Pvt Ltd’s GM Srinivasan Rao, and its employees Shiv Prasad, Gopinath Kambli Ramachandran Naidu, Kemli Gopalappa Sarojamma at IEL Police Station. Gopinath Kambli and Kemli Gopalappa are the parents of the project engineer Satyanarayan.

Orica is a world-renowned mining services company established in Gomia of Bermo subdivision of Bokaro district. This company manufactures detonators.

A few days ago, the company had established a plant here called Shock Tube. Project manager Satyanarayana was responsible for the maintenance and installation of this plant.

Allegedly, Satyanarayana sold the technical information, design and complete blueprint of the Shock Tube Ideal Detonator to a company based in Secunderabad, Telangana in 2016.

When Orica’s management came to know about this, they lodged a written complaint to the IEL police station and registered a case. After registering the case, the police started an investigation into the matter.

It has been alleged in the registered case that the manager also formed two companies in the name of his parents. One on his mother’s name is called Naidu Enterprises, and the other on his father’s name, is Exceltec Solutions, both based in the rural area of ??Bangalore.

Satyanarayan sold all the confidential information and designs of the company to Ideal Detonators Pvt Ltd and also did forgery in the name of the companies he created.

In this regard, the IEL police station in-charge Ashish Kumar said that a case has been registered and an investigation is going on. Strict action will be taken against the guilty.

Notably, the Shock Tube Plant established at IEL, Gomia is worth Rs 400-500 crores. Orica Company’s shock tube is considered unique in the international market. The shock tube made by this company has a different identity in India and abroad.
