Ranchi, June 19: The Jharkhand School Education and Literacy department has instructed management of private and government schools to remain closed on Monday. The decision was taken in light of the announcement of Bharat bandh by certain organisations due to the ongoing protest against the Agneepath Scheme.
The state government has issued an order regarding this. Signed by the state’s school education secretary Rajesh Sharma, the order states, “In view of the ‘Band’ called by certain organizations tomorrow,  it is instructed that all government as well as private schools shall remain closed tomorrow.”

It further continues, “Please make sure that this message is conveyed to all concerened, especially to the authorities of private schools, where students come by bus.”This order of the Secretariat has been sent to all the District Education Officers and District Education Superintendents.

Notably, violent agitations are going on across the country against the Agnipath scheme launched by the Central Government. As a protest, several organisations have called for a Bharat Bandh.
