‘Bharat Bandh’ of farmers on September 27

The United Kisan Morcha has announced a nationwide bandh on September 27. Apart from the United Kisan Morcha, many other farmer organizations will also join the protest. The farmers’ organization said that the Bharat Bandh would be peaceful.

 This strike by farmers is against the new agricultural laws. It has been over a year since all three new agricultural laws were passed. Farmers have been protesting against these laws along the borders with Delhi for almost a year.. At the same time, farmers are protesting at different places in different states of the country.

This strike will begin at 6 am and will continue till 4 pm. During this time, there will be a complete ban on many types of movement. Central and state government offices, markets, shops, factories, schools, colleges and other educational institutions will not be allowed to open. Emergency services including ambulances and fire services will be allowed during the lockdown.

 

These will remain closed

-All offices and institutions of the Central and State Government.

-Markets, shops and industries, schools, colleges, universities and educational institutions of all kind.

-All types of public transport and private vehicles.

-Any kind of government or non-government public event.

These will be exempted

-Hospitals, medical stores, ambulances and any medical services.

-Any kind of public (fire brigade, disaster relief etc.) or personal emergency (death, illness, marriage etc.).

-Any further discounts offered by local organizations.

The United Kisan Morcha has issued guidelines for its workers. The Morcha has said that during the bandh, people should be appealed to voluntarily close everything. Do not do any kind of coercion. There should be no violence or sabotage in this movement. It has also been said that this bandh is against the government, not against the people.
