New Delhi, Jan 8: People had gathered in great numbers and were strolling enthusiastically as the Bharat Jodo Yatra, which is being led by Congressman Rahul Gandhi, began on Sunday morning at the Dodwa-Taraori junction.
Party leaders Deepender Singh Hooda and Selja Kumari joined Rahul Gandhi on the 114th day of the yatra. The yatra would stop over at Pratapgarh GT Road near Kurukshetra for a nightly rest.
Despite the cold wave conditions and thick fog that were present throughout North India, including Haryana, the supporters appeared to be highly happy and excited.
Along with a drum march, supporters were also visible brandishing yatra posters. Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, responded to BJP leaders who questioned him about leading the ongoing Kanyakumari to Kashmir foot-march by referring to his Bharaamid a ‘store of love’ in the midst of an existing ‘market of hatred.’

On Saturday, the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ entered Karnal. The yatra’s fans waved the flag and danced to the beat of the drums despite the thick fog that covered the majority of the northern belt.
Between January 5 and 10, the Bharat Jodo Yatra will go across four districts of Haryana. It returned to the state on Thursday evening. Between December 21 and 23, the first segment of the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Haryana covered more than 130 kilometres as it travelled through the districts of Nuh, Gurugram, and Faridabad.
