Biennial elections to 13 Rajya Sabha seats to be held on 31st March

New Delhi, March 7: The Election Commission declared on Monday that elections for 13 Rajya Sabha seats will be held on March 31. There are five seats in Punjab, three in Kerala, two in Assam, and one each in Himachal Pradesh, Tripura, and Nagaland.

Notably, Ranee Narah and Ripun Bora of Assam, Anand Sharma of Himachal Pradesh, A. K. Antony, M. V. Shreyams Kumar, and Somaprasad K of Kerala, K. G. Kenye of Nagaland, Jharna Das (Baidya) of Tripura, Sukhdev Singh, Partap Singh Bajwa, Shwait Malik, Naresh Gujral, and Shamsher Singh Dullo from Punjab were going to retire.
