Patna, Aug 24: Bihar Assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha has submitted his resignation ahead of the floor test on Wednesday.
Vijay Kumar Sinha, the speaker of the Bihar Assembly, has stated that he would have resigned upon the establishment of the new administration but he wanted to defend himself against unfounded accusations.
“I would have resigned after the formation of the new government, but someone made unrestrained allegations against me, so we want to make my point here,” he said.
Earlier, CPI-ML MLAs gathered outside Bihar Assembly and demanded his resignation. Despite a motion of no confidence against him from the new ruling administration, Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha steadfastly refused to quit.
