Jamshedpur, Aug 24: A cyclonic circulation hovering 5.8 Km above the mean sea level would trigger rain at many places today, said a forecast issued by IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre.
Weathermen said light to moderate rain is expected across the state due to the impact of the cyclonic circulation.
Most places today woke up to overcast conditions with high humidity.
The cyclonic circulation was resulting in heavy moisture incursion into the atmosphere.
Rain statistics revealed that Ranchi, Jamshedpur and several other places experienced a good spell of rain during the past 24 hours.
Against a normal of 738 mm, the state as a whole has so far received around 535 mm of rain, a deficit of 27 per cent.
